Learning to scuba dive with BSAC Lanzarote is the start of an exhilarating adventure that could take you around the world and the UK, meeting and diving with other BSAC divers at other BSAC Dive Centres and BSAC Clubs.
The BSAC Ocean Diver Course is the entry-level open water course that equips you with all the theory, knowledge and core skills that you need to safely begin your underwater adventures in diving. Anyone over the age
of 10 years old and is medically fit to dive can take this course.
Your experienced BSAC Instructor will be there with you as you start this fantastic journey by getting you comfortable in the water as you take your first breathes underwater with the SCUBA gear. To start you'll be
learning to scuba dive in confined water where you can stand up if you need to.
Here in Lanzarote we have the ideal confined water location in a local sheltered bay and you might well see a few fish too, so why would you want to stand up! Small shoals of salima and bream can be seen in the
shallows along the shore and the wide-eyed flounders blend seamlessly into the sandy bottom. The damsel fish, ornate wrasse and parrot fish feed around the rocks whilst the blennies scurry round them back into their
holes only to turn back around and peep out of the volcanic rock at you. What an amazing place to learn to dive!
