BSAC's Mod2 CCR Diver (60m) course is great way to extend your current CCR diving skills to 60m. You'll be introduced to diving with two stage cylinders and planning your efficient open circuit bailout plan.

Who Can Take This Course?

The BSAC Mod2 CCR course is for experienced competent Sport Mixed Gas CCR Divers or Mod1 CCR divers to extend their diving to depths upto 60m by the introduction of a second bailout gas and the use of normormoxic gas mixes.

Enrollment Requirements
Minimum 18 years of age
Minimum BSAC Sport Mixed Gas Diver CCR or equivalent with another recognised diver training agency
Minimum 60 logged CCR dives
Minimum 30 logged CCR dives in the 30m-50m range

Course Content
1 Dry practical session
1 Sheltered water session
2 dive planning sessions; 1 assessed
5 open water mixed gas CCR dive to a maximum depth of 60m; 1 assessed

What Will I Learn?

Thoughout this continually assessed course you will learn to safely plan and conduct CCR dives to a maximum depth of 60m using gas mixes with a minimum of 18 per cent oxygen and a maximum of 35 per cent helium, to minimise the effects of narcosis at increased depth. You will learn how to manage 2 stage cylinders and plan your CCR dive including your open water bailout plan.

You'll practice your extended skills and ultimatly plan and dive a mixed gas CCR dive to a maximum of 60m.

What Will I Be Able To Do?

A BSAC Mod2 CCR Diver is competent to plan and conduct CCR dives using mixed gases containing minimum 18 per cent oxygen and maximum 35 per cent helium with 2 stage cylinders thereby extending their maximum depth to 60m.

After completing your Mod2 CCR course and conducting some dives to consolidate your learning and skills you will have the option to extend your diving even further by enrolling on the BSAC Advanced Mixed Gas CCR Diver Course(80M).
