BSAC Lanzarote offers both the BSAC Ocean Diver and BSAC Sports Diver Nitrox Workshops. BSAC divers that qualifed before January 2007 and have yet to take the Nitrox workshops are not qualifed to buy Nitrox fills or in the case of BSAC Lanzarote enjoy FREE Nitrox fills.
The BSAC Ocean Diver Nitrox Workshop is aimed at pre2007 qualifed BSAC Ocean Divers, so that they become upto date with the current Ocean Diver syllabus, and
can dive using Nitrox or air.
It is also aimed at divers coming into BSAC with an equivalent certification from another dive agency.
The BSAC Sports Diver Nitrox Workshop is aimed at pre2007 qualified BSAC Sports Divers who, have already attended an Ocean Diver Nitrox Workshop so that they
can become upto date with the current Sports Diver syllabus and enjoy the benefits of decompression diving with Nitrox or hold the BSAC Basic Nitrox Diver
qualification as part of their Ocean Diver qualification.
It is also aimed at divers coming in from other dive agencies.

You'll learn all the theory to enable you to safely plan and dive on Nitrox, along with how to correctly calibrate a gas analyser and analyse gas mixes.

As a qualified Ocean Nitrox Diver you will be able to safely plan and execute open water dives within your current qualification, using Nitrox mixes of 32% or 36%. You will also be able to apply to BSAC HQ for a qualification card that will enable you to buy Nitrox mixes of 32% and 36%.
As a qualified Sports Nitrox Diver you will be able to safely plan and execute open water dives within your current qualifcation, using Nitrox mixes upto 36% on a decompression dive. You will also be able to apply to BSAC HQ for a qualification card that will enable you to buy Nitrox fills upto 36%.
As a qualified Ocean Nitrox Diver, your next steps could be to progress your diver grade to Sports Diver and learn more about the benefits of decompression diving on Nitrox.
As a qualified Sports Nitrox Diver your next steps could be to complete your depth progression dives and get some deeper diving experience before moving onto Skill Development Courses (SDC's) such as the BSAC Twinset Diver or ADP courses.
