Throughout this continually assessed CCR course you will learn the advanced knowledge, skills and techniques that will take you to expedition team diving level. In particular you will learn how to use diluent gas mixes of less than 18 per cent oxygen and more than 35 per cent helium to minimise the narcosis you would otherwise experience at depth.
You will also learn how to plan and conduct dives to 80m and manage 2 or more stage cylinders whilst learning to manage increasingly longer run times.
- Advanced diving physiology
- Advanced decompression theory
- Deep dive planning, including gas choices, gas-loss management and run times
- Practical diving techniques, including using decompression systems suitable for team expedition diving
Upon completion of the BSAC Advanced Mixed Gas CCR Course you will be able to safely plan and conduct CCR dives with mandatory decompression using diluent gas mixes of less than 18 per cent oxygen and more than 35 per cent helium to extend your maximum depth to 80m.
